Das erste Projekt war eine Einzelausstellung in der städtischen Galerie "Pinegarden" in Hualien, einer 400 000 Menschen zählenden Stadt an der bezaubernden Ostküste von Taiwan.
TOBEL: "Hierfür habe ich zusammen mit zwei Assistenten, 4 Wochen schwer gearbeitet um 7 neue Steinskulpturen zu schaffen. Weitere 7 Skulpturen konnte ich bereits in den letzten 2 Jahren nach Taiwan verkaufen und nun für diese Ausstellung ausleihen".
Alle Werke wurden noch vor Ausstellungsende verkauft.

The first project was an individual exhibition in the municipal gallery called "PINEGARDEN" at Hualien, a city of 400 000 inhabitants located at the beautiful East Coast of Taiwan. With the support of the German Cultural Centre in Taipei and the HuaTong Foundation this exhibition took place from Nov. 26 to Dec. 26, 2005. Together with 2 Taiwanese assistants TOBEL worked for 4 weeks and created 7 new stone sculptures, all of which were sold before the exhibition even ended. Seven of his earlier sculptures, which had already been sold, were part of the exhibition.
